程志云博士现为北京师范大学副教授 ，在低维拓扑领域从事多年研究 ，特别是在纽结理论方面取得了若干重要结果 ，已有多篇论文在Algebraic & geometric topology等专业高水平期刊宣布。
主讲内容：
Knotting is a quite common phenomenon in daily life. In mathematics, knot theory studies the embeddings of circles in our 3-space. In this talk, I will give an elementary introduction to some basic notions of knot theory. No previous knowledge is assumed.
